Our Story
Tucked along the tranquil Tunga river on the Old Thirthahalli Road, River View Farm Stay is not just an accommodation — it is a working farm managed by national awardee A.S. Viswanatha, a progressive agriculturist, globetrotter, and yoga practitioner.
Every room faces the river. Every morning brings birdsong and the gentle current. Every visit is a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the land.
Meet the Host
National Award-Winning Farmer · Globetrotter · Yoga Practitioner
Shri A.S. Viswanatha has dedicated his life to the land. A progressive agriculturist recognised with a national farmer's award, he has spent decades experimenting with sustainable farming techniques on these very 30 acres — introducing methods that have inspired farmers across Karnataka.
Beyond the farm, he is an avid world traveller who has drawn inspiration from agricultural traditions around the globe, and a sincere yoga and pranayama practitioner who believes that a healthy environment and a healthy mind go hand in hand. Staying with him is not just a holiday — it is a conversation.
Every crop on the property is grown using responsible, time-tested agricultural methods. Guests are welcome to see, touch, and learn from the land first-hand.
We don't run a resort — we open our home. Guests consistently remark that they felt like family, not customers. That warmth is not scripted; it comes naturally.
The Tunga river is not a feature of the property — it is the reason for it. Its rhythm shapes every sunrise, every evening walk, and every quiet moment here.

The Land
The farm is more than a backdrop — it is the soul of your stay. Walk through rows of arecanut palms, smell the coffee blossoms, pick fresh pepper, and discover the thriving beekeeping / apiculture operation that produces pure farm honey. This is not a resort simulation of nature. This is the real thing.
